After I Do - The Game Show

Vernita Griffith, Creator & Executive Producer

Vernita Griffith is the Creator and Executive Producer of After I Do — The Game Show and a certified relationship coach who has spent over 20 years facilitating marriage workshops across the country.

Her journey into relationship education began long before her certification. For two decades she worked with couples in workshops, retreats, and marriage ministry settings, watching firsthand what helped couples grow and what pushed them apart. She is also a certified True Colors facilitator and a former Toastmasters member of 13 years, skills that shaped her into the dynamic communicator and educator she is today.

After I Do was born from something Vernita observed over and over in her workshops. The couples who grew the most were not the ones who received the best advice. They were the ones who laughed. Humor opened doors that traditional counseling could not. It was like giving medicine covered in applesauce. That observation became an obsession, and that obsession became a show.

Over the past eight years Vernita has produced 16 live After I Do productions and secured a local television run on CW22 in North Carolina and South Carolina, investing over $40,000 of her own money into proving this format works. Now she is bringing the show to a national audience.

Vernita leads the Connecting Couples Marriage Ministry at her church and has been a co-chair of her church marriage ministry alongside her husband Ken. She is also a True Colors facilitator who has led personality assessment workshops for organizations and couples alike.

Most importantly Vernita is a wife. She and Ken have been married for 29 years, have four adult children, and five grandchildren. She knows what it takes to build a lasting marriage not just from research and training but from lived experience.

This show is not just her career. It is her calling.
